"Our pup out of Roxie is great. .......he learns fast and is
turning out to be a great dog.........He knows sit, stay, down,
shake, come.......and powwow, which means play dead on his
back. He learned these by 10 weeks of age..........Jackie
"She is soooooooooooooo very smart it scares us at times.
Her accomplishments thus far are - ringing a bell when she
needs to go outside to go potty (or just wants to go outside
to graze on anything she can scratch up), she can "sit" on
command, she travels very well in the car, she can bring the
ball back (but not always to us), she can watch TV if it is
something she is really interested in, she has watched us
get water out of the Culligan water cooler and has almost
figured out how to do it herself, she bounds like a champ
through the snow, she runs like the wind and she sleeps in
her crate for most of the night...... She is very social and
loves all visitors who come to see HER. She is quite a
problem solver. She managed to open her crate and spend
the afternoon roaming the house until we got home. Again,
she is almost too smart. Her front legs and feet are big
and strong. She is absolutely beautiful and everyone
comments about what a "pretty" dog she is." Mary (pup out
of Roxie)
"Thought you may be interested in seeing a picture of
Ruger... He's done a great job pheasant hunting this year!
We figure he's retrieved almost 100 pheasants this year,
and has only lost one... we're very happy with him.
Black pup out of Millie and Duke Jan 2006 litter (See
picture of Tim and Ruger below on left)
"Jessie is almost six months old and is the light of our
lives. She is the offspring of Duke and Millie. We have no
children and our animals are much like pseudo-children to
us.......... She is smart and learns quickly. ..... We live on the
river, and she is fast becoming the river dog we hoped
for....... We love her more and more each day. I'm not sure
what we would do without her in our lives right now. I would
encourage anyone looking for a dog to meet Candy and Joe's
Labradors. I know them all, and they are all wonderful,
loving, intelligent dogs." Kim & Dan
"Our pup out of Roxie is the most perfect pup in the
world......I can't imagine life without him. He was
housebroke in 3 days!!! We take him everywhere and people
just go crazy over him. Now, we are thinking of a black pup
from you guys too. Thank you so much for a great dog, great
price and from great people." Dan and Rae
"Thought you might like to show people what Roxie and
Duke's puppies look like. Dakota is really smart.........She
can retrieve already on command as well as sit and lay. This
spring I plan on getting her started with field
hunting......Everyone loves her and she is quite the adorable
dog. ........ Thanks again for the wonderful puppy and I will
send more photos as she gets older." -Chris & Beth
"Thanks for letting us visit your place last Saturday. I
want, I mean INSIST on a Princess pup. I can't believe
how beautiful, calm, well behaved and sweet she is.
Everything you said about her on your website is so true!!!
She looks and acts like her father, Duke.......And, Izzy is
just as pretty. You have such a great family of
dogs......Thanks for allowing us to hang out with you for a
while." Dan
Just thought I'd send some updated photos of Josie. We
are enjoying her so much! She brings us plenty of laughs!
......... She loves long walks and playing in the snow.......... The
vet thinks she is getting more and more beautiful the bigger
she gets. He also said she has the perfect
temperament--"the perfect blend of curious and easy going".
She was so easy to train and is quite well behaved (most of
the time ;o). Kelly

Tim and Ruger
pheasant hunting in
the fall of 2006.
Ruger, at 9 months old,
put up almost 100
birds and only lost 1.
Cash, year old male out
of Duke and Millie. He
came to visit us
yesterday (Sat., April
14, 2007. What a great
looking dog. He is owned
by our neighbors and
they state he is getting
to be a very good
hunting companion.
This is Josie out of Roxie's last litter.
See her owners (Kelly) comments on the left.
By the way, this pup was the runt of the
litter. We called her Snowy because she
was so light.
Meet Joe, aka Chance as a new pup. Here is what his owners say:
"....he knows sit, stay, lay down, in the truck, fetch it up, shake,
where's Trumann (their other male Lab who's 12 yrs old), you hungry,
get to bed, side and he knows hand signals for sit and stay........He's
wonderful with the kids and with old Trumann (12), he cuddles up with
Trumann every chance he gets...........Joe mocks his every move etc...he
really learns A LOT from him and it shows. We plan on getting him in
the water this week sometime to see how he takes that, again
Trumann will be a BIG help there cause he won't stay out of that
water and Joe HAS TO BE where Trumann is! Pat & Kris & boys
